PKD is one of the most common, life-threatening genetic kidney diseases affecting thousands in America and millions worldwide. People with PKD develop fluid-filled cysts in their kidneys which cause them to increase in size and decrease in function. Kidneys can grow to be as large as footballs and weigh up to 30 pounds. The PKD Foundation has been leading the fight against PKD for over 30 years through research, education, advocacy, support and awareness. The website for PKD is www.pkdcure.org. The Walk for PKD is the signature fundraiser event for the PKD Foundation. For more information and to register, go to walkforpkd.org/sanantonio
We welcome sponsor support (financial and gift in kind donations) for our walk and encourage corporate businesses to put together teams to increase both exercise and community support for those “living with PKD” as we ensure “A Cure is Our Finish Line”!
